PEERS Network's main purpose is to give back to the community in meaningful ways. What makes our most recent grant so special and close to our hearts is that we were able to help one of our own friends and neighbors, adorable 6-year old Liv Blu, with her fight against cancer. We ask that you share Liv's story to spread the word and help this amazing young girl on her healing journey. Liv's Story: On Friday July 29, 2016 Liv had stomach pains at aquatics camp. What her mom (Carlie) and step dad (Daddy Max ) thought was going to be a bad case of constipation turned out to be a parent's worst nightmare - Cancer. They were told a mass the size of a small soccer ball was attached to Liv's kidney and both had to be removed immediately. The family has been staying at Rady Children's Hospital since . Liv's 6-hour surgery was deemed successful, but she will be recovering in the hospital for a bit. A Go Fund Me campaign, Liv Blu Fights Back has been created to help with the families enormous medical and personal expenses that come with fighting back against this terrible disease, but also for friends and family who just want to show Liv, Jet, Carlie, and Max some love. Please help if you can, any amount is appreciated. To follow Liv's journey you can follow her blog here: http://livblufightsback.blogspot.com/ "Ahhhhhhhhhh, I am speechless.
